Prawn masala - shrimp fry / curry recipe

prawn masala / shrimp curry

 

Ingredients - prawn masala / shrimp curry

prawn - 3/4 kg
onion - 1 cup
garlic - 1/2 cup
tomato - 2

Spices - prawn masala / shrimp curry

coriander powder - 1 1 /2 tsp
chili pdr - 1 tsp
garam masal pdr - 3/4 tsp
cumin + pepper pdr - 1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
turmeric pdr - pinch

For Seasoning - prawn masala / shrimp curry

mustard seed- 1/2 tsp
cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
urad dal - 1/2 tsp

Method - prawn masala / shrimp curry

1.Heat kadai with 2 tsp of oil and add seasoning ingredients. let it pop
2. Then sauté garlic, onion, tomato one by one - Then go-ahead  with spices and prawns.
3. Stir it for 4 to 5 minutes without adding water. Within this time prawn expels water. After that you can add required water for cooking. Add salt. 
4. Let the stove on simmer mode for cooking ( 10 to 15 minutes )
5. Add coriander leaves with cooked prawn masal and serve it hot.
