puri / poori kizhangu masal - potato masala for puri

Puri masala recipe

 

Ingredients - poori kilangu masala

boiled potato - 3
chopped onion - 2
green chili - 1 ( to taste )
turmeric pdr - 1/4 tsp
mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
urad dal - 1/2 tsp
curry leaves - few

Method- poori kilangu masala

1. Peel the skin of the boiled potatoes and mash it coarsely - Don't make it like a paste.
2. In a pan add a tsp of oil - Add mustards, urad dal.
3. When urad dal turns brown add curry leaves, onions, green chilies, turmeric pdr - Saute it till it turns tender.
4. Now add required water for cooking. Allow it to cook till the onions get cooked well. ( 5 to 10 minutes on high flame )
5. Now add mashed patato - Let it boil for 2 minutes or till you get right consistency.
6. Serve it with hot poories.
