Vanjiram fish fry / Vanjiram meen varuval

Ingredients - Vanjiram fish fry / Vanjiram meen varuval

Fish pieces - 1/2 kg ( can be used any fish )
Tomato paste - 2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Chilli pdr - 2 tsp
Turmeric pdr - 1/4 tsp
Fresh milk cream - 1 tsp ( optional )
Corn flour - 1 tsp
Lemon - 1 tbsp
Salt, Oil

Method - Vanjiram fish fry / Vanjiram meen varuval

1. Mix all the ingredients together to marinate the fish pieces. Do not add water for mixing these ingredients as it will become watery after few minutes. Watery spices won't stick properly with fish pieces. Water present in ginger garlic paste, fresh cream, lemon juice is well enough to make the thick paste.
2. Now spread this prepared paste on all sides of the fish pieces and let it sit for 2 hours.
3. Heat tawa with 3 to 4 tbsp of oil ( you can use less oil with non stick tawa ) and place the fish pieces on tawa. Roast it for few minutes till you get light brown colour, flip it over and cook fish pieces for few more minutes.
4. Fish roast is ready to serve.
