chicken salna - side dish for parota, chapati, uthappam, naan ( with video )

CHICKEN CHALNA RECIPE

Ingredients

chicken 3/4 kg
chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
chopped onion - 1 cup
green chili - 2
oil, salt, curry leaves

To grind

onion - 1 cup
tomato - 2
garlic - 7
ginger - small piece
dry chili - 6,7
coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
cumin seed - 3/4 tbsp
cardamom, cinnamon, cloves
coconut - 6 pieces
poppy seeds - 1 tbsp

For seasoning

fennel seed - 3/4 tsp
pepper - 1/2 tsp










Method

1. Roast the spices under ' To grind ' and saute onion, garlic, tomato, ginger, coconut ( see video ) . Now grind it to a fine paste. Set this aside.
2. In a pan add 4 tsp of oil, add seasoning ingredients,  and saute chopped garlic, chopped ginger, chopped onion, g. chil. Then add chicken, stir this mixture for 5 minutes without adding water
3. When chicken pieces begin to expel water, shift this to a pressure cooker and allow it to cook for 3 pressure sounds
4. Finally garnish it with coriander leaves
5. chicken salna is ready to serve with chapati, parota, roti, naan
