Coconut poli - Thenkai poli

Ingredients - Coconut poli - Thenkai poli

Whole wheat flour - 3/4 cup
All purpose flour - 1/4 cup
Cardamom pdr - 1/2 tsp
Jaggery - small cube
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Grated coconut - 1 cup

Method - Coconut poli - Thenkai poli

1. Add all purpose flour, wheat flour , pinch of salt to a bowl and make a thick dough. Let it sit for 30 minutes to one hour.
2. Pooranam preparation - Dry fry the grated coconut for 2 minutes, add jaggery, cardamom pdr and sugar . Mix well and stir it continuously till you get wet mixture. Turn off the stove and let it cool for room temperature.
3. Now take lemon sized ball from the dough, roll it as you do for chapati, then put 2 tbsp of coconut puranam in the center and close this by folding all sides without leaving any opening. Do the same with all the balls
4. Heat tawa, once it is hot, put a rolled thenkai poli and cook both sides till you get brown patches over it. Now coconut poli is ready to enjoy.
