Curryleaves tamarind curry - puli kulambu

Ingredients - Curryleaves tamarind curry - puli kulambu

Onion - 1/4 cup
Garlic - 1/4 cup
Green chilli - 1

For seasoning -  Curryleaves tamarind curry - puli kulambu

Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
Fennel seed - 1/4 tsp

To Grind - Curryleaves tamarind curry - puli kulambu

Curry leaves - a handful ( better to choose young leaves )
Black pepper - 3/4 tsp
Fenugreek seed - 1/4 tsp
Dry chilli - 3
Coconut - 6,7 pieces
Tomato - 1
Coriander seed - 1 tbsp
Tamarind - amla size
Jaggery - small cube
Turmeric powder - pinch

Method - Curryleaves tamarind curry - puli kulambu

1. Heat a kadai with a tsp of oil , Fry pepper, dry chilli, fenugreek seed, coriander seedfor aa minute till it begins to crackle. Then fry curry leaves, coconut, tomatoes along with fried spices. Now grind this mixture with tamarind, turmeric powder, jaggery to fine paste, set aside.

2. Heat a pan with 2 tsp of oil, crackle seasoning ingredients, then saute onion, garlic, green chilli till they turn tender. Now add ground masala paste with required water.

3. Add salt in the boiling kariveppilai puli kulambu. let it boil for 5 minutes on high flame. 

4. Now kariveppilai puli kulambu is ready to serve.
