Gulabjamun sweet

Gulabjamun sweet

ingredients - Gulabjamun sweet

Milk powder - 200 g
All purpose flour - 3 tsp
Soaked suji rawa - 2 tsp
Butter - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup

Method - Gulabjamun sweet

1. In a wide bowl mix unsweetened milk powder, all purpose flour, soaked suji rawa and butter. Now slowly add water ( as less is needed ) and make a smooth dough without any cracks ( should not knead the dough as we do for chapati dough. Knead the dough gently without giving too much pressure ). Let it sit for 30 minutes.
2. Boil a cup of sugar with a cup of water .  Let it boil till you get smooth sugar syrup ( before you get the one thread consistency ) ie. when you pour this syrup by a ladle it should get poured like a smooth thread.
3. Make amla sized jamoons from the dough ( 1 made 15 ). The balls should get smooth outsides without any cracks.
4. Now deep fry the jamun balls. Bring oil hot, ( not smoking hot ), once it is hot, slow the flame, add jamun balls, and stir it gently so that it gets evenly cooked. Take them out when you get golden brown jamuns. Drop these fried jamuns in hot sugar water. Let it get soaked well for 1 hour.
5. After 1 hour you can serve these sweet gulab jamun with its sugar water.
