Seepu seedai

Seepu seedai - Diwali snack

Ingrdients - Seepu seedai 

Home made rice flour - 4 cups ( to get good result use home made flour )
Urad dal flour - 1 cup
Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
Salt, oil

Method - Seepu seedai 

1. Mix urad dal and rice flour well, Dry fry this flour for 4 to 5 minutes on low flame. Fry it up till you can tolerate the heat when you hold the flour. There will be no colour changing with flour. Stir continuously while you are frying. Remove it from the stove and let it cool down to room temperature.

2. Add salt and coconut milk with seepu seedai flour and knead the dough with enough water which should be in chapati dough consistency.

3. Take seepu seedai mould in the murukku maker and fill the flour in to the maker. Press it straightly in a plastic paper and cut into 2 inch long pieces. Take a piece and roll it around your finger and joint the both ends by pressing it gently. Do the same with each pieces .

4. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the seepu seedai till the sound subsides and turn brown. This is one of the best snack for us to celebrate diwali function.
