Chicken manchurian recipe - chicken manchoorian
Ingredients
Chicken - 3/4 kg
For Marinating
Corn flour - 3 tbsp
Garam masal - 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Lemon - 1/4 tsp
Curd - 1 tbsp
oil, salt
Ingredients for Manchurian
Chopped onion - 1
Capsicum - 1/2 cup
Tomato ketchup - 4 tsp
Soy sauce - 1 tsp
Salt
Chili pdr - 1/2 tsp
Garlic chopped - 8 cloves
Corn flour - 1 tsp
Method
1. Wash the chicken pieces with turmeric powder and set aside.
2. Boil water in a pan. Now add chicken pieces with boiling water and let it cook for only 2 to 3 minutes. By this method you can get soft chicken 65 and also no need to deep fry it for long time. it will get fried easily. SEE VIDEO.
3. After 3 minutes remove chicken pieces from water .
4. Take a large bowl, add chicken pieces with the ingredients under ' For Marinating '. Mix it well & set it aside for at least 2 hours. The more resting time the softer the chicken manchurian will be.
5. Then heat the oil in a frying pan and fry chicken pieces till you get golden brown colour. Set this aside.
6. Mix tomato ketchup, soy sauce, salt, chili pdr, corn flour altogether in a bowl for manchurian. Add required water for mixing. Make sure it has no lumps. Corn flour gives thick manchurian gravy . So add it moderately. If you add more flour, gravy will be like rice drink or ragi drink ( koozh ). Add very little salt for this manchurian gravy. Because we have already added salt with chicken pieces. SEE VIDEO
7. Now saute onion , capsicum, garlic, curry leaves - set it aside
8. Again take a kadai - heat it with a tsp of oil - add cumin seeds - add tomato ketchup mixture and required water - let it boil for 5 minutes
9. Add chicken pieces with tomato ketchup mixture - mix it well - garnish it with sauted onion, garlic, capsicum.
10. Chicken manchurian is ready to serve.
