Fish curry recipe -   Vanjiram meen kuzhambu

Ingredients - Fish curry / kulambu

Vanjiram Fish - 3/4 kg ( You can choose any type of fish )
Onion - 1/2 cup,   
Garlic 1/2 cup,  
Tomato ground - 2,  
Tamarind - big amla size,  
Chili pdr  - 2 tsp
Coriander pdr - 2 tsp each
Thick coconut milk - 1/2 cup
Garam masala pdr - 3/4 tsp
Turmeric pdr - pinch
Butter - ( optional )
Sugar - 1 tsp ( optional )
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
curry, coriander leaves

For Seasoning - Fish curry / kulambu

Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seed - 1/2 tsp

Method - Fish curry / kulambu

1. Heat a kadai with a tsp of oil and add seasoning ingredients - Then saute garlic, onions - Once it has been browned add all spices along with it. 
2. Add ground tomato ( ground tomato gives thick gravy ) , tamarind water, coconut milk, salt, sugar ( or jaggery ). Adjust salt before adding fish pieces.
3. Let it cook for 10 minutes on high flame. Finally you can add butter. ( It gives awesome flavour to this curry )
4. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Now serve this meen kulambu with hot rice.
