Wheat rawa upma - rava upma

Wheat rava upma recipe

Ingredients

Wheat rawa - 1 cup - 150 g
( 1 cup rawa needs 3 cups of water )ad dal
Onion - 1/4 cup
Carrot chopped - 1/4 cup
Green chili - 1
Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves, Oil, Salt

Method

1. Roast rawa without adding oil for 3 minutes. set this aside. This prevent the upma from becoming sticky.
2. Heat the pan with a tsp of oil and add mustard seed and urad dal. As the dals start to brown add onion, carrot, green chil and fry for a minute.
3. Now add 3 cups of water ( we are taking one cup of rawa ) along with browned onions and bring to a boil. Add salt and make sure the salt is enough.
4. Now add raw - keep the flame on low mode - within 3 to 4 minutes rawa upma will be ready to serve.
