onion pakoda - evening snack ( venkaya pakoda )

Onion pakoda recipe / vengaya pakoda

ingredients - Onion pakoda

chopped onion - 2
gram flour / besan flour / kadalai maavu - 3/4 cup - 200 g
chopped curry leaves - 1 tbsp.
cilantro - 1 tbsp.
chili pdr - 1/2 tsp
garam masal pdr - 1/2 tsp
turmeric - pinch
corn flour - 1 tbsp.
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp ( to taste )
hing / asafetida / perungaayam - pinch

Method - Onion pakoda

1. Add all the ingredients with onion and mix it well - add very little water ( 2 tbsp. ) for mixing. See video
2. Heat a pan with frying oil - add marinated onion into the oil. Don't drop as big lumps
3. Fry them till it turns to brown.
4. Now you can serve this onion pakodas.
