Chicken chukka / chicken sukka masala

( pepper chicken masala )

Ingredients - Chicken chukka / chicken sukka masala

Chicken - 3/4 kg
Tomato - 1
Coriander pdr - 1 1/2 tsp
Dry chilli pdr - 1/2 tsp
Cardamom pdr - 1/5 tsp
Cinnamon, cloves - few
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

To Grind - Chicken chukka / chicken sukka masala

Onion - 1/2 cup
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp

To Saute - Chicken chukka / chicken sukka masala

Onion - 1/2 cup
Garlic - 1/4 cup
Mustard seed - 1 tsp
Fennel seed - 1/2 tsp

Method - Chicken chukka / chicken sukka masala

1. In a pressure cooker ( or a pot with suitable lid ) add chicken pieces, tomato, coriander pdr, chilli pdr, cardamom pdr, cinnamon, cloves, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Mix chicken pieces with all theses ingredients well. 
2. Add required water ( add very less water because chicken pieces itself will expel water while boiling ) and let it cook for 3 pressure sounds on high flame ( if it is a pot, cover it and allow to cook for 15 minutes on high flame )
3. Grind all the ingredients under ' To Grind ' to fine paste.
4. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seed, fennel seed, then saute 1/2 cup of onion and 1/4 cup of garlic till they become tender. Then add cooked chicken pieces, ground onion pepper mixture and let it boil for few minutes till the raw smell of ground mixture goes off. Let the water dry up completely till it reaches to masala texture. Now garnish this chicken sukka masala / chicken chukka with coriander leaves.
