Kovil sundal / chana fry

Kovil sundal / chana fry / Chickpea recipe

Ingredients - Kovil sundal / chana fry / chickpea

Chickpeas - 2 cups ( soak it in water for 8 hours )
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Chilli pdr - 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut - 3 tbsp
Green chilli - 1
Curry leaves
Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp

Method - Kovil sundal / chana fry / chickpea

1. Pressure cook the soaked chickpea with salt for 3 sounds ( if it is a covered pot it may take 15 minutes on high flame ). 
2. heat 2 tsp of oil, splutter mustard seed, urad dal. Saute green chilli, curry leaves for a minute. Then add cooked chickpea, add chilli pdr, ginger garlic paste and mix them well for 3 minutes. Finally garnish this kovil sundal / fried chickpea with grated coconut.
