chana masala - Chick pea curry - Side dish for chapati
Chana masala / Chole curry is go well with chapati, roti, puris
Ingredients - channa masala
Chickpeas - 1 cup ( soaked in water for 8 hours )
Fresh cream - 1 tsp
Butter - 1 tsp
To Saute & Grind - channa masala
Boiled potatao - 1
Onion chopped - 2
Tomato - 3
Fennel seed pdr - 1 tsp
Cardamom pdr - pinch
Cinnamon, Cloves - few
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Chili pdr - 1 tsp
Method - channa masala
1. Pressure cook the chick peas for 4 sounds. Set it aside. Add salt for cooking this chickpeas
2. In a kadai add a tsp of butter and saute all the ingredients under ' To Saute & Grind ' - Grind it to a paste and set aside.
3. In a pan add cooked chickpeas with this masala paste - Let it boil with required water, It will become thicker than before while boiling as we added potato. Add salt
4. After boiling turn off the stove and add a tsp of fresh cream. So that you can get restaurant masala taste.
5. Serve it with chapati, roti
