How To Make Coconut Burfi
Thengai burfi / coconut burfi is very popular sweet in South India. We can make this sweet recipe with very less ingredients.
Ingredients
Coconut - 1 ( whole )
Sugar - 3/4 cup ( 200 g )
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cardamom - 1/4 tsp
Cashews - 10 to 15
Milk - 4 to 5 tbsp
Method
1. Roast cashews with a tsp of ghee and set aside.
2. In the same pan add grated coconut. Continue heating with constant stirring on low medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Then add cardamom, sugar with continuous stirring. The sugar will melt and form thick liquid. If you think the moisture content is well enough for making slices, then you no need to add milk.
3. Pour this content to the tray and level it to give a smooth finish. Garnish it with cashews. Let it cool for 20 minutes and then slice it. SEE VIDEO
4. Now this coconut burfi is ready to serve.
